iPad 2 Jailbreak Not Free

So it seems that out of all the iOS devices, the iPad 2 is the only one that remains unjailbroken, at least not until i0n1c decided to release a solution to that problem. It’s great news if you own an iPad 2 and have been looking forward to having it jailbroken.

The bad news however is that there’s no such thing as a free lunch as i0n1c has hinted that this jailbreak solution might not be free unlike all the other jailbreaking solutions for the iOS’s. It seems slightly ironic as many people jailbreak their device in order to get apps for free, but in this case you would be paying to get it jailbroken which feels like it’s defeating the purpose to begin with. Or perhaps you could even call it an “investment”.

However do keep an eye out, since there are so many iPad 2 users it’s only a matter of time before someone else has an alternative means to jailbreaking the iPad 2 and might even provide it for free!
