Infinity Blade Gets Multiplayer On The iPad

Infinity Blade has to be one of the most visually impressive games I have seen on the iPhone and iPad, being powered by the Unreal Engine 3. Rather impressive considering the Unreal Engine 3 was used by some of the newer consoles such as the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

While not the most story intensive game you will play it makes great use of the iOS’s touch screen to navigate the controls and to do your fighting. It’s pretty much hack and slash but if that is your thing then great news because it seems that the long awaited multiplayer mode for Infinity Blade on the iPad is finally ready. According to the press release the multiplayer update should be available on the 19th May although as to how the gameplay will be like still remains unknown, nor are there any other indications if there will be other content changes following the multiplayer update.

If you currently own a copy of Infinity Blade fret not as with most app updates it is free. If you do not have Infinity Blade downloaded yet onto your iOS device it is only going for $5.99 and with the multiplayer update it does seem like a good deal and should provide with endless hours of fun.
