HTC Plans For Many Tablets

It seems that HTC is making waves lately. Their first tablet the HTC Flyer will not be succeeded by maybe one or two more tablets by the company, but instead they’re planning to deploy an entire range of Android tablets. We already know of such a tablet that HTC has in mind which is the rumored HTC Puccini.

As it stands in the US alone only about 5% of the populace owns a tablet device which means there’s still a 95% void to be filled, something that HTC plans on doing.

“I really believe that the tablet market is really going to be a big market in the future and this is just the start,” HTC Europe head Florian Seiche told the Reuters Global Technology Summit. “In five years’ time, schools will have tablets probably instead of physical notebooks. I think that’s going to be such a massive wave of additional penetration in society… I think we can’t even guess the potential.”

On top of tablets HTC also plans to roll out their very first NFC capable device some time within the next 12 months.
