Get Your SD Card Working On The Xoom

Published

on

A little over a week ago we wrote how there were some issues with Motorola Xoom’s microSD slot where it would not detect the SD card that was inserted into its slot. Well now it looks like a group of independent developers decided that enough was enough and instead of sitting around and waiting for Motorola to come up with a solution, they decided to come up with their own solution instead.

They created a patch that works for Android Honeycomb 3.0 and thanks to XDA-Developers they are now using the official wifi update in order to deliver the patch to users and get the microSD card slot up and running. If you’re an affected Motorola Xoom owner then head on down here for the instructions on how to apply the patch to your tablet. As always with unofficial updates and software, remember that you are installing these at your own risk. I wonder what’s taking Motorola so long to address this issue? Considering the Xoom wasn’t quite the hotcake they thought it would be, you’d think they’d be a bit more hasty in trying to appease their users.
