If you have been eagerly waiting to get your hands on Verizon’s Samsung Droid Charge then you’re in for some bad news as the Droid Charge still remains unavailable until today, about 15 days after Verizon’s LTE outage.

The LTE outage was cited as the reason behind the delay of the Droid Charge although there has been no official comment about this but on the 3rd of May Samsung posted a tweet saying “Droid Charge by Samsung is almost here”.

A representative of Verizon in Boston said that although their store had the Droid Charge in stock, they weren’t allowed to be sold yet although no reason was given. Jack Gold who is an analyst at J.Gold Associates said Verizon is most likely trying to make sure that they will be able handle the increase in LTE traffic that will more than likely occur when the users of the Droid Charge  start to use the network alongside owners the HTC Thunderbolt, Verizon’s first LTE smartphone.

“The network needs to be ready for more devices, and Verizon can’t afford to pull another AT&T and iPhone situation,” said Gold, referring to the problems iPhone users encountered on AT&T’s network in New York and San Francisco. “They are trying to make sure in any way that that doesn’t occur again.”
