Apple Does Their Part For Japan

Published

on

The offer of free repairs was posted on the company’s Japanese website but excludes iPod classic, nano, and shuffle, and only applies to customers living in areas covered by the Ministry of Health’s Disaster Relief Act.

Basically if you are living in Japan and have been directly affected by the earthquakes and tsunami’s and own a Mac computer, or Apple displays or iOS devices you would be eligible to get them repaired for free if they have been damaged due to the earthquakes or tsunamis. This is rather generous of Apple, most probably due to corporate social responsibility but it’s nice to know that your expensive Mac or iOS device is not entirely wasted.

Take note that this offer only runs until 30th of June so you might want to take up this offer quick before it runs out.
