Aperture To Arrive On iPad?

Published

on

As a self-professed photography buff I was wondering when the Aperture software would make an appearance on the iPad. After all Garange Band has made its way to the iPad along with iWork and iMovie and even Adobe’s Photoshop has found its way to the iPad device, allowing for a whole new level of editing and creating images, so why shouldn’t Aperture be on the iPad too?

Well it seems that there’s a chance that it could be if the patent above filed by Apple has anything to say about it. While not officially called Aperture. According to Christian Zibreg of 9to5 Mac the patent that was filed is entitled “Docking User Interface Elements”. Apparently the document goes to great lengths to describe a heads-up display of sorts to interact with a touch-enabled version of Aperture. Of course if the patent drawing is accurate, to the right of the picture looks a lot like a histogram. Granted this is only a patent at the moment so photographers don’t get all excited yet.

If it does arrive on the iPad it would join the likes of Adobe Photoshop and bring mobile photo editing to a whole new level.
