Al-Jazeera English App Released for Android and Blackberry

If watching news is your thing and especially if that news happens to cover stories about the situation in the Middle East then you’re in luck as Al-Jazeera has released their English app for those of you running on Android and Blackberry. The Al-Jazeera network has been an essential network for those who wish to be kept up-to-date with regards to all the situations and conflicts that are happening in the Middle East right now.

Since most of the major cable companies in the US had declined to carry the news network as some critics have suspected it might have had to do with the Bush administration at that time, Al-Jazeera has turned to internet TV and mediums such as YouTube to post their daily news clips and eventually opened a 24/7 live feed on Livestation.

Some have considered it ironic as the intention of Al-Jazeera going online was to win the hearts and minds of the American people in hopes of being brought on to one of the cable companies but instead they have become a significant source of news on the internet, and now if you own an Android or Blackberry device you may be able to tune in live to their news coverage.
