Earlier this year at CES, Acer had announced their range of compact and sleek smartphones which they dubbed liquidmini and it would be running on Android’s Froyo 2.2. Now it looks like Acer has decided to refresh their line of smartphones, this time with a brand new paint job. The original colors were available in silver, blue, black, green, and pink, but now the liquidmini can now be found in cherry, lagoon, pearl, and steel colors which are said to evoke summertime and relaxation.

Along with the paint job the liquidmini will be getting several updates to its software as well. This new refresh will be shipping with Android’s Gingerbread 2.3 and Acer’s user interface has been updated with more space for wallpapers and widgets. If this is all new to you, the specifications for Acer’s liquidmini are a an 3.2-inch HVGA (320 x 480 pixel) touchscreen and a 5 megapixel camera along with access to Google’s mobile services such as Google Search, Gmail, YouTube, and Google Maps.

Nothing too fancy so we don’t really expect this phone to fetch that high of a price when it hits the market. No word on availability or pricing just yet.
