Sony Ericsson bootloader unlocking website launched

Sony Ericsson previously announced that they will be unlocking the bootloader to their Android phones so that users can easily muck around with their phones – something they weren’t able to do when the phones were locked. Well, that day his finally come and the bootloader unlocking site is now live. Folks will now be able to easily load up custom ROMs or mess with their phones’ kernel without much trouble. Not all phones can be unlocked through this method though – only SE’s Android phones released this year and phones that haven’t been SIM-locked or customized by a carrier. Unlocking the bootloader also voids the phone’s warranty in some cases, so make sure you read the fine print before attempting anything. Head over to the bootloader unlocking site now for further instructions on what to do.
