Word on the street has it that Verizon Wireless might want kiss goodbye to their one-year contract option from April 17th onwards, and if the leaked document that you see above is true, you might want to make a beeline for whatever one-year contract devices that there are left available. Of course, doing away with that might just help Verizon Wireless streamline their paperwork, since they no longer need to worry about dealing with one-year contracts but work with 2-year ones only. So far according to Big Red’s track record, handsets that are purchased on a one-year option will require you to fork out another $50 to $100 more compared to a two-year contract phone. All is not lost, however, since said leaked document also pointed to a select few business customers and Verizon Wireless employees who are still eligible for the one year option. Too bad for frequent upgraders, no?
