Verizon Samsung Galaxy Tab receives update

While the hype has been surrounding all the new tablets available recently (Motorola Xoom, the iPad), Verizon hasn’t forgotten about the first tablet they started off with – the Galaxy Tab. According to an official announcement on their website, the Samsung Galaxy Tab has just received a new update. The 34.6MB update will be pushed to your Galaxy Tab if you haven’t updated it yet, or you can manually locate the update yourself. It is recommended you get the update for your tablet as it brings some significant improvements to the tablet: searching for WiFi hotspots no longer negatively affects battery life, access hyperlinks within email messages, send multiple name cards with the “select all” feature, successfully open 5MB video attachments from email messages, Adobe Flash Player updated to version 10.1.95.2, and fixed time zone calendar setting ensures calendar events are accurate regardless of the time zone you are currently in. Head here for instructions on how to update your Galaxy Tab.
