The Motorola Droid X was a highly successful Android device and now Verizon subscribers are gearing up for the second edition of this smartphone. Images of the Motorola Droid X 2 have surfaced on the web, and our initial reaction is that it bears a close resemblance to its predecessor. The current variant spotted shows that this device is running Android 2.2.2 but, the model to hit the shelves will arrive with Android Gingerbread. The Droid X 2 carries the physical buttons and humped back which were also a part of the Droid X, while an HDMI out and a microUSB port are also reflected in the images. On the rear is an 8MP camera with dual-flash which comes with HD video recording capability. The big question though is whether the device is LTE capable or not, and we would love Big Red to answer that question as soon as it can.
