Honeycomb ported to the Galaxy Tab?

Published

on

While over the past few weeks we’ve seen a whole slew of devices getting the Honeycomb treatment. The funny thing is that most of the devices are phones and weren’t meant to run the tablet-optimized Android operating system. Now we have a device that actually runs the operating system properly – the Samsung Galaxy Tab. One of the hottest Android tablets in the world, the folks over at XDA-developers have managed to successfully bring Android 3.0 Honeycomb onto the tablet. However, like most first builds of any custom ROM, it is pretty much broken, and nothing really works. Expect a proper build in the coming weeks, and in the mean time if you’d like to get your hands dirty with the ROM or follow the progress, you can head over to the XDA-Developer thread to find out more.
