The folks over at Pocketnow have managed to get their hands on leaked images on Casio’s upcoming rugged Android phone. Called the G’zOne Commando, the Android phone looks like it cana take one heck of a beat down. It features a chunky looking exterior with visible screws and what looks like speakers on top and on the bottom of the phone (bottom holes could be for a very large mic?). It is Mil-STD 810G certified for being shock, water and dust resistant.

The phone packs an 800MHz processor with 512MB of RAM, a 3.6″ 480 x 800 WVGA screen, a 5 megapixel rear camera, and will ship with Android 2.2. It will also be preloaded with G’zGEAR apps designed for outdoor enthusiasts – thermometer, pedometer and a digital compass.

No word on pricing, but the phone was supposed to arrive a couple of weeks ago on Verizon. Maybe the leak of its press materials means it won’t be too long now. Any takers?
