Motorola Mobility preparing an OS of its own

Published

on

Motorola Mobility owes a lot to Google as the hardware this outfit has produced has always been blessed by the Android OS. But it now appears that Motorola has decided to prepare an OS of its own, although the choice would be that of a web based platform. This could mean that Motorola will have phones running on its own platform as well as that on Google’s Android, although it is a little too early to affirm these choices. If an Information Week source can be trusted, the OEM is already in the process of hiring engineers from Apple and Adobe in order to develop the operating system. It seems that Motorola does not wish to rely on a single supplier as the company recognizes that they need to differentiate and hence options are required.
