LG Optimus 2X arriving on T-Mobile as the G2X?

Some rumors have stated that LG’s dual-core superphone, the Optimus 2X will be making its way to our shores in the near future, and will be carried by T-Mobile. But the phone won’t be just another Android phone, according to the speculations, T-Mobile will be rebranding it as a “G” phone, putting it in the same series as the G1 and the G2 – Android phones with stock Android. This means that you won’t have any fancy UI, or additional bloatware, just the Google experience of having “pure” Android. Depending on your stance on manufacturer-customized Android phones, this piece of news might float your boat. In addition to the phone arriving with stock Android 2.2, the Gingerbread (Android 2.3) update is said to arrive within weeks of the phone’s launch as well. The phone is also said to support HSPA+, something our sister site, Ubergizmo, thought was lacking about the original phone in their Optimus 2X review. Sounds like great news for T-Mobile Android fans out there.
