Whenever a phone gets rooted, one of the most common treatments people put the device through is overclocking. It’s been happening for awhile now, and the latest one to get it is AT&T’s latest 4G phone, the HTC Inspire 4G. The folks over at XDA-developers felt its 1GHz processor just wasn’t enough and managed to boost the device to 1.8GHz. Now there’s never a good reason to risk bricking your phone or affecting its stability just to make it run faster, but hey, some people just live for speed. Anyway, if you’re interested in overclocking your Inspire 4G yourself, you can find out how on the XDA-developers forums, however, remember this voids your warranty, and things could go wrong, so make sure you back up your device and know what you’re doing before trying anything.
