Color is the next big application for iOS and Android Platforms

Color-the latest public photo sharing application for both Android and iOS platforms has certainly become the talking point amongst developers for its vibrant nature. One major reason that this app is drawing attention is that Color is the brainchild of Bill Nguyen. Bill is the same man who sold his music-streaming company Lala to Apple in 2009 for a whopping $80 million. Color may appear to be somewhat similar to Instagram or PicPlz but what makes it special is its proximity-based photo sharing functionality, which makes it a far more potent app altogether. It is simple to use this app as all you need to do is to click a picture or shoot a video and then upload the content to the Color app network. Until this point, it does appear a very simple application.

But here is where the trick kicks in. With Color, your picture or video content you otherwise share only with select friends or followers, gets automatically shared with any other Color users who are within 100 feet of where they were taken. This ability gives Color a different appeal which of course will have its critics, but then who really cares about them!
