Great news for Xperia Play fans in the UK. Sony Ericsson’s upcoming Android gaming phone will be released in the UK on at least 5 major carriers in the region. Vodafone, Orange, T-Mobile, Three and O2 will be offering the phone, so expect it be on sale subsidized with a contract on one of your favorite carriers if you’re living in the UK. I guess Sony Ericsson will be really pushing this device – making it available on multiple carriers will allow users to upgrade their phones without the hassle of having to switch to another network and could possibly lead to some good sales of the device. But with the whole plethora of dual-core phones and tablets that will be announced at the Mobile World Congress next week, I wonder if people will be holding out for those devices instead of getting the gaming-centric “PlayStation Phone” when it drops this year.
