Traccia phone is wielded like a pen

Once in a while a concept ambles along that changes the way you look at things. Case in point, the Traccia phone concept that is modeled after how you use a writing instrument – a pen in this case. Whatever you write on a sheet will be translated to commands for the phone, thanks to the embedded optical sensor that is positioned at the end of the stick. If you want to write out your email or text message, feel free to do so, although we are inclined to think that using the touchscreen display would be a whole lot faster over a virtual keyboard. With its built-in polycarbonate, the phone feels natural to the touch, and makes the touchscreen all the more alluring. Last but not least, this concept sports a camera that is located under the display at the center of the arc. Designer Andrea Ponti would do well to address potential ergonomic problems with this though.
