Sony has started to roll out the long-awaited updates to their Xperia X10 and X8 phones. According to the Official Sony Ericsson blog, the updates will bring multi-touch, pinch and zoom to the X10 (unfortunately the X8 left out). Other features that will be included with the update: support for bi-directional languages such as Arabic, Farsi, Thai and Hebrew, as well as the standard optimizations as well as bug fixes. The update brings a new version of Moxier, video trimming on the phone, transcoding of high quality videos to lower quality for MMS messages, and more. The roll out will start a week from now and as usual will be staggered – reaching some phones in different areas first, so it could take some time before it hits your device. Have patience if you’re waiting for the update. Head here to find out more about the update.
