Samsung Galaxy S i-9000 to get Gingerbread in March

Samsung Germany has recently stated that the Galaxy S i-9000 (the Galaxy S sold in the rest of the world) will be receiving its Gingerbread update in March. If you’re tearing out your hair, wondering why didn’t you get this Galaxy S model instead of the carrier-branded one you own now, it’s justified. While most of the Galaxy S phones on this side of the world are struggling to even get Android 2.2, news of 2.3 arriving soon for the same phone in other parts of the world is pretty heartbreaking. But let’s hope the whole Froyo debacle won’t happen again this time around. How many of you are using the i-9000 version of the GAlaxy S phone?
