Nokia WP7 prototype real – hopefully it’ll be shown at MWC

Nokia seems to be the company with the newest operating system this time around, instead of showing off their usual Symbian offerings. After the recent announcement of their partnership with Microsoft (that left a lot of Symbian/MeeGo fans with a bad taste in their mouths), and providing some rendered images of upcoming Nokia WP7 phones – Jo Harlow, lead of Nokia Smart Devices has given confirmation that the prototype phone seen in the renders that have been released online is real. He also mentioned that the device could be ready as early as 2011, and it should pack some juicy specs, seeing how Microsoft has set stringent requirements for the first batch of WP7 devices that were released last year. Since the prototype is a real working device, let’s keep our fingers crossed for it to show up in Spain this week.
