NEC Medias: the world’s thinnest smartphone

Some pictures of an upcoming NEC smartphone have found its way onto the internet. Called the NEC Medias, this Android phone is touted to be the thinnest smartphone in the world. At only 7.7mm thick, throughout the device (unlike the Xperia Arc that is only thin at one point of the phone), the NEC Medias might be skinny, but it doesn’t skimp out on features. At only 105g, it packs a 4″ (854 x 480) display, an 800MHz processor, a 5.1 megapixel camera, a digital TV tuner and NFC capabilities. Unfortunately it runs on Android 2.2 and will never see the light of day on our shores, but one can always hope right? Head here for larger images of the NEC Medias.
