DoCoMo Touchable 3D Display

[MWC] Today is the last day of MWC, but that doesn’t mean the action will stop right here. Japanese carrier NTT DoCoMo has relied on the platform to announce their latest Touchable 3D Display. The whole idea of the technology would be to offer users the sensation as though one was “touching” a 3D object which is currently on display. Obviously, you won’t need to wear one of those pesky 3D glasses since it relies on a glasses-free display and a magnetic field will create a force feedback sensation in the stylus that comes with each purchase. To put it in a nutshell, it lets you feel as though you were actually touching the object. As for the stylus itself, two cameras will track it to make sure its three dimensional position is always in sight in relation to the display. No idea on when DoCoMo will detail its plans for such technology. Image courtesy of Pocket Lint.
