Consumer Reports doesn’t recommend the Verizon iPhone 4

It looks like having the iPhone 4 on a network with wider coverage didn’t help to appease Consumer Reports. They recently announced that the iPhone 4 won’t be making their list of recommended phones because it still retains the antenna-gate issue that the AT&T iPhone 4 was famous for. According to their report, they said: “The Verizon iPhone 4 closely resembles the original AT&T iPhone 4 in many positive respects, including offering great multimedia functionality, a sharp screen, and the best MP3 player we’ve seen on a phone…Unfortunately, it also shares with its sibling the possibility of compromised performance in low-signal conditions when used without a bumper or case.” Looks like there’s no pleasing them. Either way, despite not being on the recommended phones list, the iPhone 4 was one of the hottest selling phones last year and it still continues to sell well now.
