BlackBerry PlayBook to come in HSPA+ and LTE versions as well

The BlackBerry PlayBook has been previously rumored to arrive on Verizon’s network, with support for their 4G LTE network, but now it has been confirmed by RIM that the PlayBook won’t only support LTE. In addition to the previously announced WiMAX support, it will also be shipping as HSPA+ and as WiFi-only tablets as well. It looks like RIM plans to get their tablet out to all the carriers in the US and the rest of the world, which is a strategy that’s been working for Samsung and LG’s phones so far. Will it pay off for the BlackBerry PlayBook? I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. Does carrier support matter for you, or were you planning to get the WiFi-only version in the first place?
