AT&T’s new iPhone ad takes a dig at Verizon

The days are numbered for AT&T iPhone exclusivity, but it doesn’t seem like it’s stopping the carrier from pulling out every trick in the book to keep their iPhone customers loyal. In an attempt to make their iPhone customers stay, as well as draw new ones who are still on the fence about getting an iPhone on Verizon, AT&T has been throwing punches at Big Red. Case in point, the latest advert from the carrier proudly states “Only AT&T’s network lets you talk and surf the web at the same time on your iPhone” obviously taking a dig at Verizon’s CDMA network that only allows voice or data, but not both simultaneously. Granted, it is one of the main advantages AT&T has over Verizon, but what’s the point of having simultaneous voice and data when coverage is weak? (a problem quite a number of AT&T customers face). However, business is business, and AT&T can do whatever they want to get customers, but in the end it is all up to the individual consumers to choose what they want. How many of you will be getting an iPhone on Verizon this February?
