Verizon iPad in the works

on

Verizon Communications chief financial officer Francis Shammo recently stated in an interview that the carrier will be offering an iPad that comes with an embedded chip to connect to their networks. It wasn’t stated if the chip would only support Verizon’s 3G CDMA or 4G LTE network, but we can all hope for the latter. Currently, Verizon has been selling the iPad WiFi-only version of the iPad and a MiFi device for internet capabilities, but personal hotspots require you to keep them around (and charged) so an iPad that can access the internet anywhere without one would be a welcome change. What do you think are the chances of the new iPad being 4G LTE-capable?
