Verizon axes 150MB data plan

Published

Verizon has no intention of continuing their 150MB/month data plan which currently costs $15, and has also gone ahead with the $29.99 Unlimited Data plan by throwing in an additional note of “3G Smartphones” apart from its Feature Phones Device Type. Of course, it goes without saying that Verizon’s soon-to-come 4G devices like the HTC ThunderBolt will be on a different planet altogether where costing is concerned. The leaked image that you see above also reveals some interesting details, among them the 3G/$30 unlimited marking point. This makes us wonder just how much more of a premium will 4G LTE devices be charged as they are announced next month at Mobile World Congress 2011 in Barcelona. Whatever the case is, it is always better to be well prepared financially and read all the relevant fine print before putting your John Hancock to paper.
