T-Mobile offering the Vibrant for free. Is the Vibrant 4G almost here?

Want more hints that the T-Mobile Vibrant 4G is almost ready for prime time? If you’ve been paying attention to T-Mobile’s pricing, the carrier has dropped the original $99.99 contract asking price of the Samsung Vibrant and is now offering the phone for free, though you’ll still need to agree to a contract (of course). Why would T-Mobile be dropping the price of such a popular phone unless it’s already planning to launch its successor? If you recently purchased the Samsung Vibrant from T-Mobile at that price, you’ll probably be pretty hot around the collar at this deal, though the good news is that the Froyo update is finally here. The Vibrant 4G is slated to be very similar to the current Samsung Vibrant, aside from the fact that it supports T-Mobile’s HSPA+ network and also offers a front-facing camera.
