Sony Ericsson believes 2011 will be better than last year

In an in-depth interview with Pocket-Lint, Sony Ericsson admitted that 2010 wasn’t a good year for them, and that they had judged the market wrongly. They didn’t think that customers would care so much about having the latest software (obviously in reference to their Xperia phones that are still running on Android 1.6) and hardware on their phones. A painful lesson to learn, but at least they gained something out of it. According to them, this year will be a much better year as they will apply what they learnt over the past year to make up for their mistakes. With their very sexy-looking Xperia arc phone it looks like they’re headed in the right direction. And let’s not forget the PlayStaion Phone/Xperia Play that’s been causing a lot of buzz around the internet. But if Sony Ericsson really mean what they say, we’re eager to find out more about their new devices this year. Stay tuned for more news at the Mobile World Congress, Sony Ericsson might just make a comeback.
