Despite not being able to provide Android 2.2 updates on time to their Galaxy S phones in the states, Samsung has managed to hit the magical 10 million mark for the number of Galaxy S phones sold worldwide. This comes after 2 months of hitting the 5 million mark that they took 5 months to hit- it seems that the phone grew hotter towards the end of last year, despite being outdated in terms of its operating system. Or maybe the people who purchased the phone didn’t find the lack of updates to be a deal breaker. Either way, Samsung has definitely made an impact in the smartphone world- selling an average of 1.4million units of their Galaxy S phones a month for the past 7 months, Samsung managed to sell 4 million in the US alone and 2.5 million in Europe. Now let’s see if they can top their Galaxy S figures with any upcoming phones.
