Samsung infuses AT&T with a 4G Android phone

After rumors of the iPhone leaving AT&T exclusivity, it looks like the carrier is pulling up its bootstraps to join the battle with a whole slew of exciting Android devices. Here we have the Samsung Infuse 4G, which marks Sammy’s first foray into 4G on AT&T’s network. Following the trend of slim phones, the Infuse 4G packs a monstrous 4.5″ screen onto a skinny body. What’s impressive about the screen is not only its size, but its AMOLED Plus display which is touted to feature a 50% increase in sub-pixel count, offering improved contrast and readability outdoors. Other specs included an 8 megapixel rear camera, a 1.3 front facing camera, a 1.2GHz single-core Hummingbird processor and HSPA+ support. Unfortunately it ships with Android 2.2 but let’s hope that Samsung doesn’t put future Infuse owners through the same torturous wait for Android updates like they did with their Galaxy S phones.
