It looks like the there are many advantages to having an open phone- the Nexus S has been out for less than a month and the folks at xda-developers have already managed to overclock the latest Android flagship device to a blazing 1.2GHz. The Hummingbird sure has a lot of life in it left before it gets replaced by Samsung’s next generation processor. As with most overclocking mods, parts of the phone are bound to end up not working and in this case it’s the phone’s Bluetooth capabilities. If you’re feeling adventurous and don’t need Bluetooth in the meantime, you can head over to the xda-developer forums to find out how you can turn your Nexus S into a beast.
