Remember the TENQ P07 that we reported about last month – the tablet that ran on Ubuntu Linux instead of Android or Windows 7? Well, more details of the device have been made known and it finally has a price tag on it. The folks over at Giz-China recently took the tablet for a test run and they seem pretty pleased with it. With reports of it booting quickly and being responsive, it looks like Linux on a tablet isn’t too bad of an idea after all. The Ubuntu tablet packs a 1.66 GHz Intel Atom CPU, 1-2 GB of DDR3 RAM, 16-32 GB SSD internal storage, 10″ capacitive touchscreen, 1.3 megapixel front facing camera, 2 USB 2.0 ports, HDMI output, 3.5mm headphone jack, 3G (optional), WiFi and Bluetooth. No launch date has been confirmed, but prices start at $400 for the 16GB WiFi-only version, with the optional 3G costing an extra $50. We’ll keep you posted if the device reaches this side of the world.
