With the Mobile World Congress just a few weeks away, everyone is dropping teasers left and right to build up the hype for their devices, and LG is no exception. They have recently released a press release for their Optimus 3D phone that they will be showing off at the event. Called the Optimus 3D, LG hasn’t released any information on the device besides an image with the tagline “Into the New Dimension” which basically refers to the extra dimension you get from 3D phones. 3D technology on phones has been a very niche and limited feature that isn’t present on a lot of devices at the moment, but with a number of manufacturers hopping onto the bandwagon, it might turn into something that all phones might have in the future – something like Bluetooth when it was first introduced. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see if there are things that can be done with 3D that we can’t do without. Stay tuned for more details as our sister site Ubergizmo will be there to cover the Mobile World Congress at Barcelona next month.
