Great news for iOS developers and folks who are keen to know what’s coming in the next version of the operating system – the first beta of the upcoming iOS update has just been released. Developers can get their hands on the beta release by checking out the Apple developer site. iOS 4.3 is said to bring a whole bunch of new multi-touch gestures to the iPad. You can use four or five fingers to pinch to the Home Screen; swipe up to reveal the multitasking bar; and swipe left or right between apps. Sounds like a pretty interesting update that makes the iPad more intuitive and tablet-like as opposed to being just a big iPhone. Other features include a new version of Xcode which allows developers to add AirPlay Video support in their apps. It’s uncertain what else is new in the update (the rumored Mobile Hotspot feature?) so if you’re an Apple developer with access to the iOS beta – let us know what you discover in the OS update
