We’ve previously mentioned that Google are unhappy with the slow movement of the app sales on the Android Market. Now it looks like they’ll be taking some steps towards rectifying the problem. It has been reported by the Wall Street Journal that Google has started to recruit software engineers, product managers, user interface experts and people who have had experience with mobile apps (with some Google employees changing jobs just to help out) – in an attempt to solve the app sales problem. Google plans to get a full time force dedicated to the creation of new, innovative apps for Android in order to drive up app sales, and increase revenue earned through the Android Market. Google has produced only a handful of apps available on the Android system, though they are of high-quality – most of them are just extensions of their web services. With this new drive to create more and better apps, let’s see what Google can come up with to push the Android Market.
