Great news to NOOKcolor users – Barnes & Noble has just issued a firmware update for their popular NOOKcolor Android tablet/eBook reader. No, the update isn’t Froyo, but it brings your NOOKcolor up to version 1.1.0 and enhances the device in a number of ways: improved WiFi connectivity, Home and Shop performance improvements, pinch to zoom in the browser, a “show password” option, the usual bug fixes and more. NOOKcolor users can head over to the Barnes & Noble site to grab the update. If you have rooted your NOOKcolor, this update removes it, so you might want to wait for a suitable update in the future if you want to keep your root access.
