20,000 ZTELight Android tablets sold in 2 months

Chinese electronics manufacturer ZTE has just announced that they have sold 200,00 ZTELight Android tablets just 2 months after its launch. Not a bad start for an Android tablet that isn’t being marketed being marketed as much as its big name competitors. Sure it’s not like the first month sales of the iPad (1 million) or Galaxy Tab (60,000) but in today’s oversaturated Android tablet market, 20,000 isn’t too shabby. The ZTELight is a 7″ Android (2.1) resistive touchscreen tablet that runs on a Qualcomm MSM7227 600Mhz processor, 3G, WiFi, GPS, support and a 3400mAh battery. It looks like that there still is a market for entry-level tablets, and you need not have the latest and best hardware to sell successfully.
