Verizon Fascinate might get Froyo by 2011

It seems like carriers all over the world are rushing to get the long overdue Android 2.2 update out for their Samsung Galaxy S phones before the year ends. Samsung UK recently announced the Froyo update for the vanilla Galaxy S phones, and Sprint are rumored to drop the Epic 4G update the day after tomorrow. A new document from Verizon has leaked and on it, it states that the Fascinate should be getting Flash by the end of 2010. And in order to view Flash content, a device needs Android 2.2- so it sounds like an update is in order. But there’s a problem with the document- it states the Droid X as having Android 2.1, when it was already updated in September so it might be an outdated copy. But for the sake of Verizon Fascinate owners, let’s hope this Froyo treat arrives on time. We’ve got a week to go before the year ends. Stay tuned.
