During Verizon’s conference call about their 4G LTE service, the prices provided were of the service with a contract. Today, PC Magazine has confirmed the price of the service off-contract. The monthly fees will remain the same at $50/month for 5GB and $80/month for 10GB, with every additional GB costing you $10. But the price for the modem will be about 2.5 times more expensive at $249.99 as opposed to $99.99 with a 2-year contract and a $50 mail-in rebate. So if you’re planning to use the service for at least 2 years, there’s no reason not to get the contract plan that saves you $150 for your modem. How many of you will be subscribing to Verizon’s 4G LTE when it launches?
