Toshiba to build a Japanese factory just for making iPhone LCDs

It looks like Toshiba has struck a major deal with Apple. It has been reported that the Japanese manufacturing company will be investing $1.19 billion in building a brand new factory in Japan just for creating iPhone LCDs. Though the report about the factory being just for iPhone displays has been denied by Toshiba, they mentioned that Apple will be contributing towards the building of the factory. It looks like Apple is starting to leave China behind for their manufacturing needs, perhaps in hopes of avoiding clones and copycats from hitting the market? Hopefully having screens made in Japan doesn’t raise the prices of the phones for consumers. What are your thoughts on Japanese made products?
