After all the rumors of Skype video calling surfacing on the internet, it looks like they have finally decided to unveil the latest version of their Skype app for iOS. Skype 3.0 now has one up over Apple’s FaceTime – video calls over 3G and WiFi. In addition to enabling Skype video calls on the iPhone, users can also communicate with Skype users on their desktop computers (OSX and Windows). This gives the app an advantage over other video calling apps that don’t have the same functionality. Hopefully the iPad 2 will have the front facing camera to take advantage of the feature. The app is available now for free on the iTunes App Store. Give it a shot and let us know how the quality and service is for you.
