Sharp Galapagos Android tablets to reach US early 2011

Sharp has announced that they will be bringing their Galapagos Android tablets over to our shores early next year. The tablets that were being sold in Japan this year were rumored to make an appearance for our festive season – which never happened. It looks like the tablets will be arriving after all, albeit a few months late. The Android tablets, rumored to be 5″ and 10″ in size will be 3G versions of the WiFi only devices that launched in Japan. Looks like they’re going to be carrier bound – bad news for those of you looking for a WiFi-only tablet. However, the details haven’t been confirmed yet so anything is bound to happen. Expect Sharp to have these tablets displayed at CES 2011 next week.
