Samsung Kies 2 beta up for download

If there’s one thing that Samsung phone owners are unhappy about (besides the slow Android updates) it’s the Kies software that their phones require in order to sync with the PC. Kies, is what you would call Samsung’s version of iTunes. It’s just as resource hungry and slow as Apple’s offering, but less polished. The good news is that Samsung has a clue what’s going on and are planning to update the program. The second version of Kies has just been released as beta, which means the public release should be in the near future. New features Kies 2 include: a new user interface, faster sync, firmware upgrades, a music store and the ability to import iTunes or Windows Media Player playlists. Currently as a beta it doesn’t support many devices, but expect to change when the final build rolls around. If you’re interested in checking it out, you can download Kies 2 beta here.
