Among the plethora of available and upcoming Android tablets the latest entry from enTourage Systems sure stands out from the crowd. And when I say it stands out, it practically jumps at you. The Pocket eDGe (what’s with all the fancy capitalization?) is a dual-screen tablet running on Google’s Android operating system. Now you would expect a dual-screen device to have two identical screens, but this is where the Pocket eDGe breaks the mold. It packs two very different screens. One 7″ LCD resistive touchscreen for your multimedia, work and surfing needs, while on the opposite side of the hinge, a 6″ e-Ink screen for reading and taking notes with a Wacom Stylus. Talk about combining the best of both worlds. The Tablet will have 3GB of internal memory with a microSD cart slot for extra storage, WiFi, Bluetooth, a 2 megapixel camera, and a couple of peripheral input ports. With a rated battery life of 6 hours (11 if you just use the reader) it looks like a very capable and functional tablet. The Pocket eDGe is available now for $399 online or at various electronic shops. If you get one, drop us a comment on what you think about the device.
