Good news for those of you who have been too afraid to root your NOOKcolor for the installation of custom ROMs. Barnes & Noble have officially announced that they will be upgrading their eBook reader/tablet device to Android 2.2 next year. This move definitely puts the NOOKcolor in the running to be one of the best Android tablets you can purchase for an affordable $250. In addition to the Android operating system upgrade, the NOOKcolor will also gain access to the Android Market, which means users will be able to easily install apps on their tablets.
